Those interested in membership with Vanguard Ministries network of leaders and churches have four options. Affiliation begins with completing the appropriate application.

• Each level represents a different level of commitment, covenant and corresponding benefits.
• This represents a restructuring of VM membership from our former structure.
• Some benefits became effective 1-1-03.

Level 1: Vanguard Affiliate Member

Affiliate Members are those men and women who have identified a call to Christian leadership on their lives and who have chosen to identify with like-minded leaders. This is a low-commitment membership but does connect the member with an apostolic network. They will have the opportunity to receive significant discounts for gatherings and practical resources. Once the member experiences the values and vision of VM by associating at this initial level of connection, they may opt to change to any of the higher level of membership. This membership level infers no spiritual covering or accountability and is not available for those desiring ministry credentials.

Level 2: Vanguard Associate Member

Associate Members are those men and women who have identified a call to Christian leadership on their lives and who have chosen to identify with like-minded leaders while examining a potential spiritual covering with Vanguard Ministries. This level provides for a one-year temporary status after which members must choose to affiliate at either a Level 1 Networker or Level 3 or 4- full Covenant Membership levels. Associate members are those who desire to enter into a significant relationship with a broad network of like-minded peers and receive strategic and practical resources, while confirming Vanguard Ministries as their primary spiritual covering to enable them to “finish well”. Leaders may choose to begin at Level 3 or 4 (except those ordained with Vanguard) but may have this opportunity to experience Level 2 in order to confirm the value of Vanguard Ministries in their lives.

Level 3: Vanguard Covenant Member

Covenant Members are those men and women who have identified a call to Christian leadership on their lives and who have chosen to identify with other like-minded leaders and place themselves under the spiritual covering of Vanguard Ministries. This level provides for ministry credentialing (license and ordination) and/or commissioning.

Covenant Members are those who desire relationships within a broad network of like-minded peers providing support, encouragement and accountability and desire to receive strategic and practical resources to assist in fulfilling their ministry.

Level 4: Vanguard Partners

Vanguard Partners are churches, para-church ministries, businesses or organizations who have elected to connect with like-minded churches, organizations, and leaders in Vanguard Ministries. Each Partner will enjoy a strategic relationship with an apostolic overseer. These churches or organizations truly enter into a "partnership" relationship with Vanguard Ministries, agreeing to walk together through adversity and abundance. Pastors and spouses will be offered regular care and nurture from their apostolic leader. The church will benefit from the expert consulting of its apostolic overseer. As partners, these churches, their leadership teams and their staffs will have unrestricted access to the resources of the network.
