Resource Pack #2
This Resource Pack includes:
Kings and Priests by David High [Booklet]
As you can see, this is a brief, easy read. This booklet is about
the relationship of Kings and Priests in the church today. I include
it, not as much because it contains the foundations of a theological
view on marketplace ministry, but because it was one of the pioneer
publications to ever address the issue. I don't agree with all of
David High's conclusions, nor do I subscribe to a strict redefinition
of the king and priestly roles for today, but it is worth the digesting.
In this book you will discover the power of a divine partnership
between Kings and Priests that releases the Kingdom of God in the
earth.
God @ Work by Rich
Marshall [Book]
This is, in my opinion, the best work, to date, on the subject of
Marketplace Ministry. This book gives a good and broad examination
of the issues and the trends many are observing. This publication
is an awesome tool of discovery to learn not only what God wants,
but how we can cooperate with His plan for the nations, not just
the Church. Rich speaks from a pastoral perspective and is a sought
after speaker on this subject. Rich also teaches on Marketplace
Ministry with the Wagner Institute in Colorado Springs.
Multiplying Ministers
in the Marketplace by Nancy Olsen and Charlene Fike [audio cassette]
This is a tape of the presentation made during this year's conference
for one of the Leadership Development Breakout sessions. Nancy and
Charlene are both passionate and well-informed.
The
Hands-On Work of Leadership by Harvard Business Review [collection
of articles]
This is the only resource not on the subject of marketplace ministry,
yet it is a collection of articles written from a marketplace perspective
on leadership. HBR does a great job of providing an easy to read
and review format. The 3 authors are each noteworthy in the business
community and these articles will not disappoint you. This is good
stuff for senior leaders of any organization.
