2.  Good to Great and the Social Sectors

One of my favorite authors, Jim Collins, has recently released a booklet aimed at ministry leaders like you. A monograph, Good to Great and the Social Sectors , is a response to questions raised by readers in the social and nonprofit sectors. This resource is an accompaniment to a book written by Jim in 2001, Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't. Jim Collins based this book on interviews and workshops with over 100 social sector leaders. The difference between successful organizations is not between the business and the social sector, the difference is between good organizations and great ones .

 

The next two resources were messages shared during Willow Creek’s 2006 Leadership Summit. Most who attended felt these two were the best of the bunch.
