Partner Churches Advancing With New Buildings

Spring, 2002

Building overcoming churches requires great vision, great leadership, and great grace from God! We want to pass on helpful insights, lessons, and resouyrces our members and partner churches have discovered while pressing on to fulfill God's destiony for their lives. Here are some reports from some overcoming churches you may find encouraging and helpful.

Blake CromwellExplosive growth has led Pastor Blake Cromwell and Koinonia Christian Fellowship in Hanford, California to purchase 18 acres of land on Highway 198, one of the more visible locations in the county. At present, the land is paid for and a significant percentage of the cost of the new building has been raised through a stewardship campaign called "Building People". They will be selling their existing facility and applying the proceeds to the project.

The current plan is to build a 18,000 square foot sanctuary and a 20,000 square foot educational facility. Koinonia Christian Fellowships average weekend attendance has soared to 1,200 making their present facility (500 seats) obsolete. God has truly been blessing this church with a great harvest and we are confident that the new facility will aid them in fulfilling God's destiny!

Steve MorganAfter years of patiently waiting for God's direction and provision, the members of New Life Christian Fellowship at Great Bridge (Chesapeake, Virginia) and their Senior Pastor, Steve Morgan, are making major progress towards completing a church facility by year's end. Some time ago the leaders located 9+ acres of property with a strategic location in the heart of one of the fastest growing communities in Virginia.

In May, they closed on the purchase of the property and inked a loan which will result in a 11,500 square foot, multi-use church facility.
