Vanguard Member Dan Backens, Senior Pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship @ Providence in Chesapeake, VA recently led an eight person missions team to Belgium. While there, the team found no shortage of opportunities to minister. They held a marriage seminar, ministered to a “Gen-x” church near Amsterdam as well as two churches comprised of primarily Congolese Christians near and in Brussels. They also took part in the renovation of a four-story 130 year old church building, which proved to be no small task.

Over the last couple of years, Pastor Dan and New Life have cultivated a relationship with Pastor Sostha Muvuma and Pain Di Vie Ministries of Belgium. Last year a team from Vanguard Music Group visited and recorded a French worship CD for the ministry (this CD is available through the VM office for $15.00). Plans are in the works for future trips to Belgium, and Pain Di Vie Ministries is planning to send teams to the United States as well. Isn’t it awesome seeing the children of God working together to fulfill His purposes in the earth!
