Welcome Rick Ives

Rick and Heather Ives pastor Saturday Nite Life!, one of six New Life Christian Fellowship congregations in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. SNL! is the only congregation meeting on Saturday instead of Sunday in the New Life family. The passion at SNL! is to be GOD’S DREAM CENTER; a place where everyone can be Encouraged, Equipped, and Empowered to Discover, Resurrect, and Fulfill the Destinies, Plans, Hopes, and Dreams God has for each person! Rick’s passion is to teach and preach God’s Word in ways that are relevant and life-changing for people today in the society we live in now. Heather is a passionate worshipper of the Lord serving as a leader on the SNL! Praise Team.

Rick and Heather entered full time ministry in 1990 while part of Pastor Bobby Hill’s church in Austin, Texas (Grace Fellowship). After serving as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor for 2 years in Indiana, the Lord sent Rick and Heather to Russia where they lived for 4 years as church planters, missionaries, and equippers to new Russian pastors. Returning to the USA in 1996, the Ives’ pastored again in Austin, Texas during which time the Lord blessed them with their first child – Anastasia (now a lovely lady of 5!) The Ives’ came to Chesapeake, Virginia in 1998 to serve at New Life and Rick began pastoring the SNL! congregation in September of 1999.

Please pray for the Ives and for SNL! as they launch aggressive outreach and missions activities designed to reach, save, and disciple the lost. Please pray that God will truly build His “Dream Center” here in Chesapeake!
