Welcome Brian Britton

New Vanguard Ministries member Brian Britton is a graduate student in the School of Divinity at Regent University, and serves as the Evangelism Coordinator for Vanguard Partner Church, New Life Christian Fellowship @ Western Branch in Chesapeake, Virginia. He has a calling to “proclaim the gospel in power and authority”. In November, Brian had the opportunity to preach at several crusades and churches in Nigeria. Brian hopes to bring what the Lord is doing in Nigeria, and other nations where nationwide revival is taking place, back to America that we might see more widespread renewal. “God is moving mightily today among the nations. He is truly pouring out His Spirit like never before, and I believe He wants to bring this fire to America as well. ” After completing his studies at Regent, Brian hopes to serve as a pastor as well as continuing his evangelistic ministry.

Brian was called to full-time ministry after spending five years as a college and junior college football coach. “Looking back, I see how the Lord used my experience in teaching and coaching to build in me many of the skills needed to be an evangelist and pastor. I learned a lot from football about teamwork and leadership. Coaching and ministry have a lot of common ground.”

The coming months will be an exciting time of new beginnings for Brian. He will graduate from Seminary in May 2003 and will be married in June 2003. Brian met his fiancée Valerie Kozintseva while studying at Regent. Valerie is also a student in the School of Divinity and the two plan to minister together.
