Christian Assembly is a 32 year old church located in Vienna, VA, Northern Virginia (Fairfax County, in the Washington D.C. metro area). It is a non-denominational, evangelical church with charismatic worship and ministry. It has a budget and staff to serve a membership of 175-200 and a Christian school (K-8). This church is located in a strategic area with unlimited growth potential.

 

Job Opening and Description:

This church is now seeking a Senior Pastor to lead and feed the people of the congregation and the community by:

 

• Articulating and declaring the vision of the church to the members, the staff, the leaders, and the community
• Providing pastoral care for the members and staff Leading a team of elders in providing spiritual oversight and irection
• Preparing and delivering quality, relevant and memorable sermons weekly
• Training and teaching as needed
• Providing leadership and support for staff
• Leading the church in impacting the community for Christ

Qualifications:

This person should have the following basic qualifications:

• Appropriate educational training; Masters of Divinity or comparable education desired
• Five years plus of full time ministry experience including teaching and leadership responsibilities; senior pastor experience in a charismatic church context is desirable
• Passion for building people through the practical and relevant teaching of God’s Word
• Be able to attract, develop and encourage followers of Christ.

 

Salary and Benefits:

Salary package to be commensurate with education and experience.
